Tinhorn Creek Vineyards:
A Commerce7 rebuild for a Canadian classic
Problem
Tinhorn Creek has made wine on the Golden Mile Bench above Oliver for more than 30 years, and its website had grown up alongside the winery. Over the years the site had gathered a separate mobile site, pages for the restaurant, the guest house, the concerts and the club. Its platform belonged to an earlier generation of the web. As Andrew Peller Limited moved its wineries onto Commerce7, Tinhorn needed a site that matched the place: welcoming, easy to use, and ready for modern direct-to-consumer sales.
Background
Tinhorn was part of the same engagement as Black Hills, and the groundwork was shared: a three-day workshop at APL’s head office with the leaders of every business unit, from inventory and finance to visitation, club and direct-to-consumer, and every stakeholder’s needs mapped before design began. We completed a full content inventory of Tinhorn’s site, consolidated pages built up over many years, and wrote the Commerce7 standards Tinhorn’s team now follows for collections, bottle shots and product URLs. With launch weeks away, APL’s project team changed, and we kept the launch on schedule.
Result
Tinhorn Creek launched on Commerce7 in December 2024, on cream with the winery’s warm browns, in Begum and Agenda. The winery, Miradoro, the guest house and the club each have a clear place on the site, and the technical SEO work carried every old address to its new home so Tinhorn kept its place in search. The site is easy for the internal team to manage, built to sell wine, take bookings and grow the club, and ready for more of what Commerce7 can do. We trained staff across departments to support the site long after launch.

A Canadian classic, on Commerce7
Tinhorn’s website was one part of a much larger change at Andrew Peller Limited, so every decision had to work for the group as well as for the winery. We worked with APL’s teams and Tinhorn’s own staff from the first workshop to launch, and built the site in step with Black Hills.
