LYLO:
A winery website for Gen Z wine lovers

Problem

LYLO arrived as a new brand with a clear sense of itself: a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc named for “Live Your Life Out Loud,” made for younger wine drinkers in the US. The website had to carry that carefree energy as well as the label does, and do it first on a phone.

Background

The talented team at Denomination created the brand and the label: the sunglasses portrait, the orange capsule, the sun. We took their work to the web. LYLO sells through retailers and restaurants rather than direct, so the site has one commercial job: sending people to a store that stocks it.

Solution

We designed and built a mobile-first WordPress site with big personality, with poolside cocktails and sandy beaches carrying the color. The pages cover the wine, Matt Large’s Marlborough, cocktail recipes and articles. A Wine Finder button sits in the header of every page, and a ZIP code brings up the nearest stockist.

A millennial finds a wine on Instagram and buys it at the corner store, and we built LYLO’s site for the moment in between.
