What “cheap” hosting actually costs your winery
Discount WordPress hosting looks cheaper until Commerce7 is the thing that breaks. Slow pages lose sales. A blank widget loses the customer. It only takes one incident to learn the real price: one failed club release, one broken checkout after an auto-update, one PCI scan you cannot evidence.
PCI certification and validation stay with the merchant on every plan. We provide hosting controls and evidence. Commerce7 application bugs, new page builds, and copy edits are outside hosting and billed separately.
Frequently asked questions about our winery care plans
Why not WP Engine / SiteGround / GoDaddy?
While their hosting plans may offer some level of technical adequacy, they are not familiar with wineries, Commerce7, or the software running on your website. They do not offer the same level of managed hosting for wineries.
Do you handle PCI compliance?
We provide security controls that support PCI requirements, but PCI certification and validation remain the responsibility of the merchant. Our Care and Command plans offer enhanced controls to support higher compliance requirements.
Do you store our customer credit card data?
No. All payment data is handled by Commerce7 and the payment processor.
Can I upgrade or downgrade plans?
Yes. Plans can be changed monthly. Feature availability depends on tier. Downgrading will result in a loss of those additional features. Please contact us to discuss.
Do I get admin access?
Yes, with restrictions depending on plan tier.
What happens if my site is hacked?
We investigate, contain, and remediate incidents based on your plan tier. Extensive forensic analysis or regulatory reporting may require an upgrade.
