Sixmilebridge:
Growth-driven design for a Paso Robles estate winery
Problem
Sixmilebridge makes small-lot Bordeaux blends from its organically farmed estate in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, and came to 5forests to run advertising that would bring more people to the tasting room. The website could not carry that traffic. Its home page was a single black-and-white screen: a logo, three links and nothing below them. Every wine, tasting and reason to visit sat a click away behind a menu, and the site lacked the SEO fundamentals that would have let new visitors find it on their own.
Background
We moved the site onto our hosting in November 2024, audited it, and relaunched it on Commerce7 a month later. That first version kept Sixmilebridge’s dark background and rebuilt everything around it: a home page with something to read, navigation that made the wines and tastings easy to reach, and pages built for search. Heatmaps and session recordings went live with the launch, so every change after it could be judged on how people actually used the site.
Solution
We tested a light version of the site against the dark one and found it converted better, and in September 2025 Sixmilebridge relaunched on a light background. Since then, visitors have spent longer on each page and read more pages per visit. We continue to run growth-driven design alongside SEO, local search, and Meta and Google advertising, with every change measured against the tasting reservations it is meant to bring in.

Launch is only the starting point. Then, we watch how visitors use the site, change what slows them down, and keep what brings in more reservations.

The new site was just a start
Every piece of our work for Sixmilebridge answers to one measure: tasting reservations. Local search and ads bring people to the site, the site turns them into bookings, and what we learn from each tells us what to change next.
