Originally San Antonio Cardinale, this Riboli Family Wines flagship brand is lovingly known as “the wine California grandmothers enjoyed.” After the success of new 5forests websites for San Antonio Winery and Sweet Wine Club, we were tasked with the mission to bring this beloved brand into the 21st century.

Multicultural growth

Starting from scratch with brand guidelines but no existing website, San Antonio Specialty was a chance for us to embrace the new California wine lover. Top priorities were future-proofing, multilingual functionality, and compelling (unboring!) visual design.

Close collaboration with the inhouse marketing and design teams allowed 5forests to adapt to unexpected challenges to reflect updated brand values in double time.

A strong retail presence meant that each product needed direction to producer DTC, local delivery, and local shopping. Plus, each piece of content needed to allow for English and Spanish presentation (finally a California wine site with Spanish language translation!). From cocktail recipes to single product pages, the website was built to allow for easy translation by their inhouse copywriters.

The Results

The final product is a responsive website that showcases the San Antonio Specialty brand in a modern and approachable way. We are proud to have helped bring this historic wine into the digital age, and we look forward to seeing how it grows and thrives online.
